Daily Manna’, Bishop Chris Kwakpovwe, in ‘sex tape scandal’

Rita Ibeni, a member of Our Daily Manna/Manna Prayer Mountain Ministry, has alleged that her pastor, Chris Kwakpovwe, made sexual advances at her.

A recording of a telephone conversation purportedly between Kwakpovwe and Rita recently surfaced online.

The male voice was alleged to be that of the pastor who confessed love for Ibeni and expressed interest in having sexual relations with her.

“I’m crazy about you but you are not so I decided to take my eyes off you. I’m just looking for someone to take out, yesterday I took somebody out yesterday and I want to take you out today but you are running from me, you would have enjoyed the two days now. Even Mummy respects you,” the male voice was heard saying.

The male voice assured Ibeni of good sex, saying, “Don’t worry before I do it, I’ll tell you. Don’t you know I can do it, I will do it and you will enjoy it, you will forget your name. You will be calling my name Chris, Chris. I can’t wait to have you.

“I’m missing you crazy please plan for us to see. If you want us to marry, we will have to plan it. I can never have more than two, I can not cope with anyone other than Mummy and you. You don’t call or text. I’m in Lekki, working alone and I want to hear from you, I prefer Whatsapp messages.”

Reacting to the viral audio clip, the church has said that the voice in the recording does not belong to their pastor.

“The attention of the bishop and leadership of Our Daily Manna/Manna Prayer Mountain Ministry has been drawn to some voice messages being circulated via social media by some unscrupulous elements,” read the statement signed by Honesty Eguridu for pastoral council and board of deacons and deaconesses.

The statement further read: “The said audio voice recordings which have a semblance of the bishop’s voice are conveying adverse messages which are against the tenets and principles of the ODM vision.

“The most recent in the series of these cloned voice messages is the message asking the recipient to support the ODM vision with monetary donations by calling a certain number with a warning not to inform someone else about it.

“We want to state without any element of equivocation, that the voice message referred to above and others like it are not from Bishop (Dr.) Chris Kwakpovwe. The voice in these messages is not the Bishop’s voice.

“They are the handiwork of satanic agents who are employing the aid of technology to cause distraction and havoc in the body of Christ. We enjoin the Church and the general public to disregard it.”

Earlier in the year, Stephanie Otobo, a Canada-based Nigerian singer, accused Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries of having an affair with her and attempting to get rid of her after promising marriage.

Four Ex-Nigerian Officials Named in Swiss Bribery Scandal

The aide of former president Goodluck Jonathan and three other Nigerian ex-officials have been named in a massive US$ 20 million Swiss bribery scandal, media reported.

512px-Goodluck Jonathan World Economic Forum 2013Former president Goodluck Jonathan (Photo: World Economic Forum CC BY-SA 2.0)The case revolved around a company called Dredging International Services (Cyprus) Ltd, which was sentenced last week in Switzerland to a fine of Sfr one million (US$ 1.03 million) and asked to repay Sfr 36 million (US$ 37.3 million) of illegal profit.

Swiss prosecutors proved that the company wired huge bribes to offshore companies whose real beneficial owners were Nigerian officials.

According to the investigators, the bribes began in 2007 after the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) refused to pay the company US$ 43 million for dredging the Bonny channel and river, in the south of the country – work that it had already completed.

To recover the amount, the company began bribing NPA executives and other officials in the hope of pushing them to act. Over the following five years they wired more than US$ 20 million in bribes to nine offshore companies.

Three top former NPA officials, Adebayo Sarumi, Felix Ovbude and Abba Murtala Mohammed, collectively received US$ 2.6 million in kickbacks from Dredging International.

Daniel Afam-Obi, the former executive assistant to President Jonathan’s special advisor Sullivan Akachukwu Nwankpo, was said to have been paid US$ 157,000 for unknown reasons and allegedly received the money on behalf of Nwankpo.

Dredging International also wired a further US$ 18 million to offshore companies whose real beneficial owners remain unclear, but are believed to be other Nigerian officials.

According to De Tijd, at least three of those shell companies were located in the British Virgin Islands.

Each year, NPA awarded dredging contracts worth US$ 70 million to Dredging International without any open or competitive bidding, as required by Nigerian law.

To date, the firm is believed to have won jobs worth at least ₦717 billion (US$ 2.28 billion).

Dredging International is a Cyprus-based subsidiary of the Belgian petroleum infrastructure and dredging group DEME. Before the investigation was made public, the Antwerp-based group had been described as the most attractive employer in Belgium and was in 2015 crowned “company of the year”, L’Echo reported.

Dredging International’s lawyer Marc Henzelin told investigators that the company “found themselves in a situation of near-constraint” when the NPA blocked the due payments, according to Premium Times.

To arrange the bribery scheme, the company hired Geneva-based asset management company, Driancourt & Cie, and its director Alain Driancourt, who set up three offshore companies with Credit Suisse and EFG Bank accounts.

The accounts were regularly topped up by Dredging International and the payment orders given by two of its Swiss executives. Each earned bonuses of €800,000 (US$ 1.1 million) and €2.7 million (US$ 3.76 million) respectively.

An investigation was launched in 2011, when Credit Suisse alerted Swiss authorities to these suspicious transfers.

Switzerland allegedly sought assistance from Nigeria and its then Minister of Justice, Mohammed Bello Adoke, who replied that there was no case for criminal investigation.

Adoke is currently wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection to another corruption scandal.

The asset management company, Driancourt & Cie, was dissolved in August 2015 on orders from Swiss regulatory authorities.

Canadian Sisters Accused in Nigerian Extortion Scandal Speak Out

Two Toronto sisters are speaking out for the first time since arriving back on Canadian soil, after they became embroiled in a Nigerian sex scandal that made headlines around the world.

“Everyone thinks we’re missing or dead or worse,” Jyoti Matharoo said, alongside her sister Kiran, in an exclusive interview with CTV Toronto, explaining that they have been maintaining a low profile since they got back to Canada in early January.

Before their brush with the law in Nigeria, the sisters were nicknamed the “Canadian Kardashians” after garnering a massive following on social media, where they documented their lavish lifestyle.
The jet-setting sisters have taken more than a dozen trips to Nigeria in the past eight years, where they dated some of the country’s wealthiest men.

But, on their last trip, they were accused of attempting to extort Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola.
They were arrested, spent the night in jail and say the experience was terrible.

“I was yelling and I was saying, ‘Show me an arrest warrant, show me something with my name on it,’” Kiran said, choking back tears. “But they didn’t have any identification.”

Jyoti said they were questioned then placed in a jail cell for eight hours overnight.
“There were rats in there, there were 11 other girls. Two pieces of foam, I was crying the whole night, I was freaking out,” she said.

The next day, the sisters say, they were taken to a hotel and placed under the protection of police who held their passports.

A local news website shared video of the sisters apologizing to Otedola and his family, and also saying they had created a website, NaijaGistLive.com, which exposed alleged scandals involving Nigeria’s rich and powerful. They went on to say “the intention was not to hurt anyone or to be malicious” or extort anyone.

But the sisters now deny having anything to do with the website. They insist they were scapegoats in the Nigerian authorities’ alleged attempt to cover up a “national embarrassment involving a powerful and wealthy person”.
Documents filed in court showed that two months before the Matharoos last arrived in Nigeria, Otedola petitioned for a police investigation into NaijaGistlive.com, claiming that it used naked pictures to extort money from innocent Nigerians.

However, the Matharoos sisters’ names are nowhere to be found in the document.
The sisters now say they made the apology video to get their passports back. But the documents were never returned.
Out of fear for their lives, the sisters told CTV News, they agreed to make the video apology. “It was pretty much being forced, otherwise you’re going to be thrown into a maximum security prison for God knows how long,” Kiran said.
Though they are relieved to be back in Canada, the Matharoos say they still want to clear their names.
“I think this stain on our reputation will never be cleared,” said Kiran. “Because now, no matter what we do, it’s always going to be there.”

But despite what they describe as a harrowing ordeal, the sisters want to begin documenting their lives on social media again.

A lawyer who helped the sisters told CTV News that the Canadian Embassy issued emergency passports, as their bail conditions did not restrict travel.

In an email to CTV News sent on April 10, 2017, Global Affairs Canada confirmed that consular services had been provided to Canadian citizens detained in Nigeria.

The Matharoos left Nigeria on January 1, vowing never to return. They have already missed several court dates, the next of which is scheduled for May 22. There is no extradition treaty between Canada and Nigeria.

An evangelical pastor has been arrested for raping his faithful, after convincing them that his reproductive organs contained “holy milk” which they need for holy healing.

Sobrino Valdeci Picanto, an evangelical pastor from Brazil, persuaded his followers that he practiced his strange beliefs because it was the way he preached the word, saying that his ‘milk’ was sacred.

And this pastor said his reproductives was blessed and that “the Lord had consecrated with divine milk of the Holy Spirit” and of course, had to go around evangelizing.

“He convinced us that only God could come into our lives through the mouth”, a follower said,

“Often, after worship, Pastor Valdeci asked us to do perform oral acts on him until the Holy Spirit came through seed and delivered funds to the church.”

Sobrino Valdeci Picanto, 59, was arrested in Apore, Goiás, Brazil, for raping several women attending his church.

He gave as an excuse that his reproductive organs had been consecrated with “divine seminal fluid of the Holy Spirit.”

Valdecir came to abuse some elderly, and defends himself by saying that ‘he had an encounter with Jesus in a brothel and gave him the mission of spreading the sacred semen throughout the state, beginning with the faithful Apore Assembly, of which he is responsible’.

Denise Pinheiro, delegate of the region, said, “Valdecir was caught red-handed while rubbing his reproductive units in the face of a local merchant, which promised to make more sales in her business due to the divine liquid.
When we acted Valdecir offered no resistance and even asked if I wanted to be part of the kingdom of heaven on the way to the police station.

Earlier this month, a South African Prophet charged at a pair of lions in a national park to prove the power of the spirit. The lions called his bluff and nearly killed him. He was saved by rangers who shot in the sky dispersing the lions.
Weeks later, Prophet Mboro again from South Africa was reported to have ascended to heaven during a live service. He surfaced a week later and claimed he took selfies with his Samsung Galaxy Smartphone and has been selling them for $500 USD each. He also said Jesus has a hot black wife in heaven.
A few days ago, we reported similarly shocking news of a Pastor who asked his entire church to undress during a live service and touch each other. He has promised to hold a one night stand church service which will be streamed.
A little down south however, Lesotho would have none of it and they arrested a Pastor who played indecent videos in church on the big screen.

What God Told Me About Apostle Suleman’s Sex Scandal – Prophet Jeremiah Speaks

The Founder and General Overseer of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, Warri. Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin,in an interview with Goldenpearlmedia, the Prophet spoke about how he had predicted the situation, saying Apostle Suleman is Innocent.
What do you make of the challenges Apostle Suleiman is going through?

Jesus told his followers that whatever thing that he is passing through, his followers will also pass through same situation. They called Jesus our father names. Some said He was using Beelzebub spirit to cast out demons. It is not today that all these things started. These things started in the days of old. It is one of those things. If we are followers of Christ, these things must surely come to us. Not only him but every Christian that is growing; you would have to prepare for these things.
It is getting worse by the day, a lot of people are coming out with different stories and evidences?
I will still tell you that those allegations are not true. A man of God is a man of God. Though there are stories coming from different places. Till tomorrow I will still say that it is not true. God is still backing him up. But did you hear the one that the mother went to his church to plead for forgiveness? The body of Christ is one. This is a battle between Satan and God. Any Christian that doesn’t know this thing should go and learn more. We have to pray and fast for our Apostle.

Have you spoken with him one on one ever since these things started?

Yes. I met him today when we boarded the same flight from Benin to Lagos. I encouraged him. He is not even bothered. I asked him how he feels with this kind of persecution. He said that these things must follow us because we are people that are working in the body of Christ. As far as you are coming up and you are destroying the kingdom of Satan through the name, Jesus Christ.
I saw this persecution and I told people that such a thing is coming last year December cross over. I said this thing is coming up and we have to be prayerful. Like my own case, there was an accident. I sent my boys to my village to encourage secondary school students for inter house sports two weeks ago. They went with my Hillux vehicle and on their way back, the vehicle somersaulted thrice and it was raining but glory be to God that nobody was injured.
Now, if something bad had happened to them, I would have been called names. People would say I sent them to my village, Ojobo to use them to get more power or worse things because of the rapid growth of the ministry. If you are a man of God and in the body of Christ you have to pray for other men of God who are victims of situations as this.

You spoke about the prediction that some pastors will go through persecution, can you throw more light on it?

Yes, I said scandals are coming that we should pray. I have even told my church to pray for me and I know God is in control. I said it will happen, and everybody will hear it but God is in control. That is what I told them. It is a scandal. I told them that. You can watch it. It is there. I said it in November, December and Cross over. After the Sunday I said it, on Monday, they accuse Suleman.

Did you tell Apostle Suleiman about the prediction?

I did not at that time, it was only now that we met that I told him. When the thing started I did not because many a-times, we don’t talk every second, every hour. We are always busy. Also, it is not everything you see that you talk about. We Apostles, prophets and pastors cancel them ourselves

Have you finally decided to hold a crusade in Lagos?

I held a meeting early last month with the partners of Mercy television. We discussed. They are ready more than I do. Lagos is big. It’s a country on its own. If you don’t prepare to enter this place, you will not see any soul to win. I promise it will be in December. No date yet.

Based on what is happened to Apostle Suleman, what have you learnt from it? How have you been able to guild your own territory to avoid such situation?

The experience and what I have learnt from it is the same. We cannot dodge it. No man of God can dodge it except you are not called. Look at the histories of great men of God in Nigeria, you must hear these stories. It is by prayer and God’s mercy. As you are growing, you should prepare yourself for that. Anything can happen. That is why I advise our colleagues in the vineyard of God to pray for our other colleagues. I have read about many of these men of God. They have been accused of different things. Those things are from the kingdom of darkness. We live by God’s grace.

Should apostle Suleiman forgive Stephanie Otobo?

I told him and he said that he is a human being that if God can forgive, then who is he not to.

That is what I told my people one day that it is not by deliverance that this Stephanie needs to go through. It is by going to the man of God to plead for forgiveness before any man of God will now pray for her and everything will go well.

I Am A Proud Trans Woman, – Nigerian Film Writer Writes

Nigerian transgender lady, Noni Slam, took to IG to pen a beautiful piece to celebrate
Trans Day of Visibility
Noni, who was formerly known as Habeeb Lawal wrote:

Trans day of visibility. Everyday I wake up, I am grateful for seeing the light and for answering it. For the gift of courage to be in spite of what was at stake. No one really fully understands like a trans person, the dysphoria and the disconnect between our true being and what the world thrusts on us. I remember the first two months of transition. Stepping out of the door was hard. Going out and facing the world was even harder. I was able to prevail and get to the point where I’m more comfortable. I don’t hide my transness and I don’t ever intend to. I am proud of my journey and my path to womanhood. Every time I see a trans person online or in person I feel this happiness. Because we aren’t going to live low. We are living and living in bold colors. This is a journey of a lifetime and I’m glad to be living it. Thanks to the friends who support me, even the ones online. Your support and love is all the affirmation I need when it gets tough. And it does get tough. But it is worth it. Living my authentic self is worth it. #transdayofvisibility #transisbeautiful#girlslikeus #
